A Mount Washington Hotel Wedding – Shannon & Ryan

Shannon and Ryan were married this past September at the Mount Washington Hotel in Bretton Woods, NH. A day at the Mount Washington is always a good day, and hanging out with Shannon and Ryan made it even better. I first met them when they traveled north for their engagement session. It was a blast spending an evening at the beach with them that day, and this day was even better! Chris and I met up with them as they were getting ready for their wedding ceremony on the Jewel Terrace.

As far as ceremony venues go, I cannot think of one — where you can also seat 200 guests — that is more spectacular than the Jewel Terrace. It was wonderful to see Shannon walking down the aisle with her dad, and Ryan’s smile as she approached. It has to be one of my favorite parts of the wedding day. Following the “I-dos,” we raced though family portraits so that we could get to some romantic couples portraits.

Back inside, the reception was about ready to kick off. The Grand Ballroom looked spectacular, as always, and I think just about everyone was ready to party! And, once through dinner, toasts and formal dances, that is exactly what they all did! We managed to sneak out for some night portraits before Shannon changed into her evening dress. These were some of my favorite images from the day. A highlight of the reception, however, was when Shannon’s brother got up to jam with the band, Wayz & Means. The dude slayed on the guitar! The rest of the party was a bit of a blur of crazy dancing and good times, though it’s fun to relive some of it in the images below. Check it out…

Thank you Shannon and Ryan for having me along to document your big day. And a big thanks to Chris for joining me in the mountains for the weekend. Awesome work during the day by the following folks too…
