An Odiorne Point Engagement Session – Alison & Peter

It takes a very special couple to get up before the crack of dawn for a photo shoot, and that is who Alison and Peter are, who met me for their Odiorne Point engagement session back in August. I had first met Alison back in late 2016, and I was excited to connect with her and Peter again this day. While I may only ever do one or two sunrise shoots each year, I always love them. It’s so cool watching the sun peek up out over the ocean. The sessions typically feel a little more hurried to start because 1) everyone is groggy still, and 2) you have to jump right into it. No warming up… the sun comes up fast, and there is no redo or faking it later! But once the sun is up, the light is gorgeous, and familiar scenes are transformed because the sun is 180-degrees opposite of where I usually am working it.

All that to say, it was awesome meeting up with Alison and Peter at Odiorne Point. We took sunrise portraits on the rocks, and the wandered the coast line for a bit. Here are a few of my favorites from their early morning session…
