Sarah & Adam: A Manchester Country Club Wedding // NH Wedding Photographer

On Saturday I was honored to be photographing Sarah and Adam’s wedding in Bedford, NH. It was only a handful of weeks before the wedding that I actually met Sarah in person — Sarah is a professional dancer who was cruising the Caribbean for almost the entire year that she planned the wedding! At the same time, Adam was finishing specialized Army training so I did not have the pleasure of meeting him at all prior to the wedding. Even before we met I knew that the wedding was going to be a great one. With weekly internet access at best on the cruise ship, Sarah was regularly bouncing ideas off of me, which provided great insight to the fun we were going to have. I heard stories of the “party barn” at her parent’s home, a question about whether or not swing dancing would pose any photographic challenges, guests from around the world, among others. Needless to say, this was a day I was looking forward to for a long time, and in no way did it disappoint! So, without further adieu…

David and I met Sarah and her bridesmaids at her parent’s house as they were getting ready. Sarah is a classic beauty, and her glowing smile felt like it made my job easy all day long…

I loved being able to incorporate the hallway outside of Sarah’s bedroom into a dress shot…

A great moment after putting on her dress…

Down the road a few miles, David met up with Adam as he was preparing to leave for the church…

Before departing, David grabbed these great portraits…

And one I grabbed with all of the groomsmen and Adam’s father…

Back at the farm, as it were, the ladies were ready to go too, and we paused for a few portraits as well. Flowers were by Jacques Flower Shop in Manchester.

Then “the car” rolled up. An incredible Rolls Royce with suicide doors to boot!

Off to the church we go!

Sarah being escorted by her father…

While her mother eagerly awaits inside…

Adam eagerly waiting as well…

Coming down the isle. Sarah’s dad was a trip all day long — and the most gracious host. I love seeing his grin!

Done. It’s official!

A quiet moment captured by David before leaving the church, and then off to the reception at the Manchester Country Club

Back at the club we shot a few family portraits, and then took off to the back side of the golf course to spend a little time alone for portraits…

One of my favorites of the day. We had fun.

Back inside, David was documenting a few of the details before introductions…

They even had insignia and rank correct on the cake topper…

Welcoming the new Mr. and Mrs…

A dramatic end to the first dance…

Best men always have a way of embarrassing the groom. Adam looks like he’s not sure what to make of this…

Maids of honor tend to do the same thing to the bride. Sarah was enjoying reliving several youthful transgressions…

Following toasts Swing Legacy pick up again for parent dances.

One of the highlights of the “formal” parts of the festivities was Sarah and her father’s first dance, a rousing swing routine that was exceptionally choreographed. I expected great moves from Sarah, the dancer, but dad stole the show

And with his mother…

Then the party kicked off at full tilt…

Alone on the dance floor…

We snuck back outside during sunset, as I usually try to do, and I was able to take a few more minutes capturing portraits of the newlyweds. I can’t say enough how wonderful they were about everything, even as mosquitoes were nipping at Sarah’s back and arms…

A final portrait from the dance floor near the end of the night…

Thank you again Sarah and Adam for welcoming me into your celebration. You were both so much fun and so gracious all day long. Thank you also to David for joining me.
