Karine & Michael: A Merrimack Valley Golf Club Wedding // MA Wedding Photographer

This past weekend I got to spend a wonderful day with Karine and Michael at their wedding in Andover, MA. I first met them at Kim and Al’s wedding back in 2010 where Michael was Al’s Best Man and Karine tore up the dance floor. I was very excited a year or so later to be asked to photograph their own wedding, and last Fall to photograph their engagement session. With all that history, and having gotten to know Karine and Michael a little throughout that time, I was really looking forward to this day. Throw on top of that the fact that my good friend and super talented shooter Anne Skidmore came all the way down from North Conway to shoot with me, and Saturday was a blast! With that, here’s Karine and Michael’s big day…

I began with Karine at the hotel where she an her bridesmaids were getting ready…

I love shooting details, and trying to find interesting ways to convey them. Purple was Karine’s highlight color, and her shoes did not disappoint…

And her Vera Wang dress was gorgeous…

Bridesmaids all pitching in…

A smile we’d see a lot of this day. Karine’s makeup was by Kelli Rich of Best Face Forward Makeup, who also happens to be Michael’s sister!

Back at their home, Anne met up with Michael and his groomsmen, and this little guy before heading to the church…

Karine being escorted down the isle by her father, and Michael looking very happy himself…

A couple of great captures by Anne during the service…

Exchange of vows…

Sealing the deal…

And, of course, a highlight moment… husband and wife exiting the church, but not before a little bell ringing…

We left the church and headed a short distance over to the Merrimack Valley Golf Club. Anne captured this great shot as the clouds began to part and the sun illuminated the golf course…

Upon arrival we whipped through some family and group photographs, and then Karine, Michael and I hopped in carts and headed down the path for a few portraits…

Karine’s flowers were by Martin’s Flowers, and looked wonderful.

Michael looking sharp…

More purple! Love the argyles. All of the guys were rocking these…

One of my favorites from the day…

While I was out capturing portraits, Anne was inside documenting the details. Once again purple highlights everything… I guess except for that amazing ring!

Then it was time for intro and the first dance. Great image by Anne on the left. Oh, and hi Anne! (center, kneeling)…

Near the end of their dance all of the wedding party joined them on the floor…

Michael was sufficiently roasted by Al, who had been the beneficiary of Michael’s toast two years prior. I need to find out more about the Mr. and Mrs. Potato Head though…

And Karine was all laughter with a few tears during her younger sister’s toast…

Parent dances…

Another one of my favs from the day, as Michael danced with his mother…

After dinner the party kicked off in high gear. I expected nothing less!

Karine’s family (upper left), Michael’s brother (bottom left) and his sister Kelli (bottom right) and their guests were burning a hole in the dance floor…

“Hey, YOU!” “Ahhhhhh!” Love the dancing images!

And here’s one to end on. We snuck out during sunset for a few minutes of portraits. Wonderful day; gorgeous sunset; fabulous couple. Period.

Thank you so much Karine and Michael. It was so great being a part of your wedding day celebration. Extra special thanks to Anne also for your great images and for making the trek south. I’m already looking forward to working with you again!
