Melissa & Tim: An Alyson’s Orchard Wedding // NH Wedding Photographer

A week and a half ago I was heading west towards Keene, NH with my good friend Tara to photograph Melissa and Tim’s wedding day at Alyson’s Orchard. I first met them at Anna and Jake’s wedding last Fall, which was a blast, so I was very much looking forward to this day. As we arrived we were greeted by Tim who was busy running around, however, being one of the nicest, most gracious people I think I have ever met, he of course stopped everything to greet us and see if we needed anything. As he ran off on his errands, Tara and I headed inside to meet up with Melissa who was getting ready for her big day…

I love Melissa’s blue shoes…

Many hands make light work… Melissa’s mom, sister and maid of honor all pitch in…

It was a lighthearted atmosphere to say the least…

The guys were enjoying themselves too with a drinking game out back, as Tara found out…

Though, they did eventually have to get ready also…

Yup, they’re ready!

A quick group shot by Tara before they headed off…

Along with a couple of Tim…

Back inside, both Tara and I caught Melissa on her way out the door…

… where she ultimately hopped on the tractor-drawn wagon to the ceremony amidst the apple orchard…

Tucked back in the orchard is a peaceful pond where the wedding party had been swimming all morning. We were serenaded by these critters all during the ceremony…

The ladies waiting for their queue…

While the guys eagerly await them…

A beautiful location for a wedding ceremony!

A few images from the ceremony…

“What have I done?!?!?!” Best recession expression EVER!

Following the ceremony we did some family and group pictures… This is one of my favorites this year!

Then we spent a few minutes taking portraits with Melissa and Tim…

I really enjoyed this spot. So many different and interesting perspectives…

After not too long Melissa kicked off her shoes. I understand that barefoot on the dock is pretty much her MO. Right on!

Back at the reception, Tara captured all of the lovely details. Think someone loves books?

And after not too long we showed up and Tim and Melissa had their big entrance…

Which led to their first dance…

… parent dances…

… and a special dance for Melissa’s sister and her husband. As I understand it, there was a bit of a snafu during their first dance two years prior where the wrong song was played. Today they got it right…

Maid of honor toast…

And a toast by Tim’s brother and best man…

As dinner was served, we snuck out for a few more portraits in the evening light. We ran down the road to this big ‘ole elm tree, which I believe is the oldest in the county. The sky and light were  gorgeous…

I mentioned the BIG tree, right?

Done, we headed back for the cake cutting. Tim owned the expressions this day… maybe every day…

That’s how it’s done!

Formalities completed, it was time to party!

Nothing like being surrounded by friends and family. In this photo I see best friends, siblings, parents… Tara… and many more. LOVE it!

With the sun quickly fading, we crept back out for a couple more pictures at sunset…

Congratulations Melissa and Tim. Thank you for letting me tag along on the wonderful ride that was your wedding day. And thanks to Tara for tagging along too and for your always great images.
