Sasha & Ryan: A Mt. Washington Hotel Wedding // NH Wedding Photographer

Two weeks ago I spent the weekend photographing two wonderful weddings at the Omni Mount Washington Hotel nestled in the White Mountains below Mount Washington. Below is a peek at the first of those two weddings. Sasha and Ryan were married in the Presidential Garden with their reception in the adjacent Presidential Ballroom. I always love photographing at the Mount Washington Hotel, and Sasha, Ryan and their families and guests made it that much more fun. Let’s have a look…

Gorgeous day: check…

Gorgeous couple: double check! I often meet up with couples’ as they are getting ready, but Sasha and Ryan wanted photos way out in front of the Hotel and were less concerned about “getting ready”. So, I met them out at the end of the drive…

Their siblings joined us too, and we paused for a group shot…

Soon enough we were back in the Hotel and it was time to head to the ceremony. I never tire of the shot in the grand staircase…

As Sasha was making her way downstairs, Ryan was outside waiting… Just Mount Washington and Ryan, hanging out…

Well, and his grandfather — love this shot — and all of their closest family and friends too…

Sasha accompanied by her father down the isle…

If I wasn’t married on a beach in Mexico, this is the view I would have wanted during my wedding ceremony…

The ceremony took place n the Presidential Garden, right behind the Hotel at the head of the sweeping lawn…

One of their friends sang during the ceremony. She was AMAZING! A spectacular voice. I stopped shooting for a minute to listen, then of course realized I wasn’t shooting any more and snapped out of it (pun intended!). I want the CD… Where can I get that, Sasha?!!?

The sun quickly moved to the front of the Hotel, casting the guests into shade, but illuminating the flanks of the Mount Washington…

Almost done, only one thing left…

MARRIED!!! Yay!

Following the ceremony and family portraits, we took a few minutes on the Jewell Terrace for portraits of the newlyweds. Sasha looked stunning, and her bouquet made by Carrie of Dutch Bloemen Winkle was beautiful as well…

I love the warm evening light on the Presidentials…

The happy groom…

I am quite fond of this shot overlooking Crawford Notch too…

Our portrait session segued into the reception in the Presidential Ballroom…

Here are a few images of the dining room earlier in the day. Everything at the Mount Washington Hotel is done well, and the room looked fantastic…

Again, beautiful flowers by Carrie adorned each table…

Mmmmmm…

And a few more details. The rings…

And the cake done by the Hotel. They’re really good (making beautiful cakes, and they taste good too!).

Introductions…

…led to a first dance…

…followed by toasts…

…and then parent dances after dinner.

As the sun lowered, the volume was turned up and the party kicked off. Music was by Peak Entertainment

Ryan is literally and Iron Man, competing in Iron Man races. Sasha is no slouch herself. The couple completed a triathlon together six days prior to their wedding! So, a lift on the dance floor is no bog thing for an Iron Man…

There was even a dance off between Ryan’s sister and one of the groomsmen…

Thank you Sasha and Ryan for having me to photography your celebration. It was great spending the day with you!
