Jaimi & Matt: A Portsmouth Engagement Session // NH Engagement

This past Sunday I was excited to be meeting up with Jaimi and Matt for their engagement session in Portsmouth, NH. Jaimi and Matt were driving down from Vermont for the day, so the forecast was a little concerning — snow in the morning changing to rain after lunch. Our shoot was to begin at 1:00pm, so it looked like rain it would be. We pushed the shoot as far forward as we could, which wasn’t much considering their near 3 hour drive, and as we all rolled into Prescott Park things had already changed to rain. But, we were committed, so off we went… to find a porch in Strawberry Banke!

Jaimi’s son Cody joined us for the shoot, so we took the opportunity for a couple of pictures of the “new” family. Jaimi and Matt have been together for 5 years after meeting at a friend’s wedding in California, so “new” may not be the best descriptor, but I’ll go with it anyway…

The rain quickly stopped and the sun looked like it wanted to make an appearance, though not quite yet…

One of my favorites from the day…

After spending a little time at Prescott Park we drove out to Odiorne Point. By now, Cody was being affectionately know and “Coat Rack Cody”… what a trooper!

“Awe mom, do I have to be in another pictures?…”

By the end of the shoot the sun was out and it had become quite the pleasant day…

Thank you Jaimi and Matt for coming down to little ‘ole seacoast NH. I had a blast hanging out with you and can’t wait for you wedding in August. And extra thanks to Cody for holding my lightbox throughout the session!
