Andrea & John: An Eisenhower House Wedding

Last weekend I photographed two wonderful weddings for two fantastic couples, at two very different venues. The first, which you’ll see below, was Andrea and John’s awesome wedding at the gorgeous Eisenhower House in Newport, Rhode Island. After first speaking with Andrea about her upcoming wedding last year, and then meeting her and John earlier this year, I was super excited for this day. All the ingredients were coming together to make a perfect day. However, when the weather forecast starts heading south I sometime worry that it will negatively affect the couples’ experience. But not this couple! They rolled with the rain and cold — 37 degrees when we left Newport that night — and Andrea actually gave all of her bridesmaids umbrellas in their gift bags. Andrea and the ladies got ready at Pearls Boutique Hotels, and the guys prepared at the nearby Bellevue House. Andrea and John departed early for the mansion for a first look on the wrap-around porch, as well as some portraits. The wedding party and family joined us a little bit before the ceremony to knock off all of the family formal portraits. A lovely ceremony under the tent was followed by a lively cocktail hour in the mansion, and then a raucous reception back under the tent. Night Rhythm, who you may recall from Hannah and Jared’s wedding at the Taj, rocked the party. All-in-all, Andrea and John’s wedding was awesome! Here’s a peek at their day…

Thank you Andrea and John for allowing me to document your wedding. And special thanks to my good friend David Loehwing for joining me for the day! Awesome work by the following
