Laurie & Mark: A Jackson, NH Engagement Session

Yesterday I photographed one of my last engagement sessions for the season — one more to go in early December! I met up with Laurie and Mark in Jackson, NH. As avid skiers and snowboarders, they spend lots of time in the White Mountains each winter, and over the past eight years have come to really enjoy Jackson together. But really, who doesn’t love Jackson, NH? It’s getting a little chilly up north, but yesterday wasn’t so bad, and the sun was shining which always helps this time of year. We started at the Jackson covered bridge, where I think anyone and everyone who gets married, does engagement pictures or just visits Jackson takes pictures. I’ve photographed there a lot — probably anyone who shoots in the White Mountains has — so it’s always fun and challenging to look at this location differently. Of course, we took a few shots in front of the bridge (I call this the tourist perspective), but we also went under, in and around it to find some new perspectives. We then shot into town for a few rustic barn photos. Then, finished out the session at the Moat flats with some mountain and sunset views. Laurie and Mark were great to shoot for, laughing and smiling through the cold. I can’t wait for their wedding this February. I’m crossing my fingers for snow, which is pretty likely in the mountains! Below are a few of my favorites from yesterday…
