Kerri Ann & Alex: A Rivermill at Dover Landing Wedding

Well, it’s been a busy wedding season, and it’s just about all over for me. This post wraps up my weddings for the year, but you’ll still see a few more things here before I ring in the New Year! Below is a peek at Kerri Ann and Alex’s big day at Rivermill in Dover, NH. I drive past Rivermill every day taking my daughter to school, so I was excited to not only be shooting for such a great couple, but to also be so close to home. On top of that, my long-time friend Patrick McNamara was shooting with me. I met up with Kerri Ann and the ladies at The Silver Fountain Inn where they were putting their final touches on. Meanwhile, Patrick joined the guys in town as they got ready. Then we all headed down to the mill building for a first look (yay!) and portraits before the ceremony. First looks are ALWAYS a good idea for winter weddings because they allow you to get some natural daylight portraits. We found a cool little spot up in one of the towers of the building — so many cool nooks and crannies! Back downstairs, the ceremony was about to get started. Candles and string lights accentuated the cool old industrial space. A very non-cookie cutter (i.e. awesome!) ceremony ensued. I mean, it had all the key highlights, but was so personal and well-spoken. Afterwards, we snuck out for a few more portraits in the cold before heading inside for the reception. All of the regular formalities took place — intros, first dance, parent dances and toasts. Oh, the toasts! Kerri Ann’s sisters need to go on the road with their act. Best. Toast. Ever! Yup, they rapped. I’m not a video guy, but I wish I had video of that to share! Well done; well done! The party was kept rocking by DJ Nate Downs, and I don’t think the newlyweds ever left the dance floor. On all accounts, Kerri Ann and Alex’s wedding was a full blown success, and was an incredible way to end my wedding season (at least full scale weddings, that is…) Below are a few of my favorites from the day…

Thank you Kerri Ann and Alex having us along to document your big day. And a very big thanks also to Patrick McNamara for joining me for the day. Great work also by the following:
