Family Vacation to Mexico

Last week the NH arm of the McCallister Clan headed south to Mexico for a little fun in the sun. It’s felt like a particularly long winter this year, so it was nice to get out of dodge for a little while. I always love going away, but hate traveling… that is, I hate the actual traveling part. Navigating airports and flight connections seems to get ever more painful, and this trip was no exception. We barely got out of Logan due to a snow storm in the mid-Atlantic, but $140 and a changed connection got us back on track. My kids — ages 5 and 2 — are rock stars, and did awesome, with very little crying and complaining. We were all pretty exhausted when we got to our resort, but the next morning we were running out the door and headed for the beach. And oh how nice the warm sand and salt water felt! For 8 days and 7 nights we soaked it up… as well as a handful (or more) of margaritas. We returned to another snow storm, of course, but oh well. That’s life in New England, and at least our plane didn’t disappear. Below are a few photos from the week away. Many of these were taken with my little Olympus Tough point-and-shoot camera, but I did pull out a mirrorless camera and my DSLR a couple of times. By no means was I focused on taking pictures… most were an after thought  🙁 Enjoy, and I am already looking forward to my next tropical excursion. Stay tuned for that…
