A North Conway, NH Elopement – Katie & Amy

On Wednesday it was cold again. Not just a little cold, really cold. So naturally I was headed to the mountains. While others were off searching for the last frozen ice climbs at lower elevation, I was going north instead for Katie and Amy’s wedding ceremony. Katie and Amy traveled north from the southeast, and I’m thinking the 70+ degree weather just a couple of days before was more the plan. But, having little snow on the ground didn’t deter these southern ladies one bit! I met them at Diana’s Bath outside of North Conway. The short half mile hike in — on a very icy trail — led us to the waterfalls and a great spot for the ceremony. The touching service was officiated by my good friend Kim the JP, and it even elicited a few tears from both Katie and Amy. We paused for a few portraits on the way back up the trail, and then headed over to the 1785 Inn for a few more portraits and to see if we could catch the sunset. We did, but we didn’t linger long — temperatures were dropping fast! So, we scurried back inside for a few last portraits before I departed. Thank you Katie and Amy for having me along to document your day. Here are a few of my favorite images from it…
