A Red Barn at Outlook Farm Wedding – Whitney & Jim

This past weekend “wedding season” kicked off for me. While the next six months are going to be pretty intense with lots and lots of amazing characters and places, I literally had no idea it was all going to begin with such a great couple. That’s because I originally thought my wedding season was going to start this coming weekend, not last. You see, a very good friend had been working with Whitney and Jim for the past year, not me. But due to an unexpected surgery she was not going to me able to photograph the wedding. Life happens, sometimes not in your favor. But it’s times such as this that you are thankful to be part of a great group of professionals — and friends. I was asked if I could step in, and I didn’t hesitate for a second, as I know others would for me in the same situation. So, the week prior to her big day I spoke with Whitney for the first time to learn about her wedding. We had a good conversation and I learned more about the wedding plans and little about Whit and Jim in general. I’d love to tell you more of their story here, but alas, I only have one chapter to share. But, it’s a good one, and one that I think you’ll enjoy. See for yourself…

Thank you Whitney and Jim for having us at your wedding. A big thanks to the always awesome Anne Skidmore for joining me for the day. And finally, a huge thanks to my good friend Tara Hamer for entrusting me with the impossible task of filling her shoes for the day! Great work also by the following folks:
