A Beverly, MA Portrait Session – Kate & Keith

A few weeks ago I attended a 2-day photography workshop hosted by my good friend and MA wedding photographer Ned Jackson. I shot my first weddings with Ned back when it was all film cameras, and I regularly botch loading Ned’s medium format Hassleblad. Times have changed so much since those days, but Ned is still a great friend and now an even better photographer. His works has always inspired me, as well as his work ethic and savvy. When he announced a 2-day intensive workshop at his studio I needed to be there. I am so glad I was too! As a former high school teacher, Ned is wonderful at making the complex understandable… and fun, too. On the first day of the workshop my friends Kate and Keith, who are NH wedding photographers, came down to model. Ned opened up his bag of tricks working with a couple, and I entertained a few of my own. Here are some of the images that I made will watching, listening and learning. Thanks, Ned, for putting on such a great learning experience!
