A Jackson Falls Engagement Session – Mariah & Michael
September 27, 2019
Mariah and Michael are getting married in just a few weeks, and I am psyched for their big day at Hardy Farm. I spent some time with them in Jackson, NH for their engagement session not long ago, which got me even more excited for their wedding! I met up with them at Jackson Falls. It was a beautiful night, and fortunately we pretty much had the Falls to ourselves… which is not that common during the summer months! We chatted and shot around the Falls for awhile, and then headed down the road to get some mountain views at sunset.
Prior to the session, Mariah had not been that excited about it, being a little more camera shy. But both she and Michael did awesome! For couples that are nervous about being photographed — even if it is just one half of the couple — planning an engagement session is a smart idea. It gives everyone an opportunity to get to know one another, see how a portrait session works, and usually alleviates some of the worry for the wedding day. I know I am personally much more comfortable behind the camera than in front of it, and many of the couples that I work with feel the same way. But nearly all of the couples I work with tell me that they were 100% more comfortable and excited about being photographed on their wedding day because they had done an engagement session!
With all that said, check out some of my favorite images from Mariah and Michael’s session…
