An On the Marsh Bistro Wedding – Jackie & Tim
October 15, 2019
Jackie and Tim were married at a private beach residence on Drake’s Island in Wells, Maine, and they celebrated later that evening at On the Marsh Bistro in Kennebunk. Jackie and Tim each got ready at neighboring houses on the shore. The day was spectacular… cool for August and clear for the ceremony. A fast passing shower came through shortly after the ceremony, but at that point everyone was transitioning to Kennebunk for the party!
Jackie and Tim’s ceremony took place on the private beach in front of the house. With the palm frond decor, tie-dyed bridesmaid dresses, no-jacket groomsmen, and bare feet, you might have thought you were on a Caribbean island and not coastal Maine! The ceremony was fairly short but sweet, and afterwards we hung out on the beach for portraits. We wrapped up just as rain drops began to fall, and everyone was back in the house when the skies fully opened up! Trolleys were lined up waiting to take guests over to the On the Marsh Bistro, where the party was poised to get started. Retrospectus filled the tent with music as events kicked off.
Intros, dances and toasts started things off, but the main even was — as it often does — taking place on the dance floor. Once dinner finished, guests put on their dancing shoes and never stopped until buses shuttled them back to their hotels at the end of the night! We did manage to sneek out for a few more evening portraits before the reception ended. Jackie and Tim’s were so much fun to spend he day with, and their wedding checked all the boxes for a perfect day! Below are some of my favorite images from their day…
Thank you Jackie and Tim for having us along to document your wedding day. And a big thanks to Jessica Arnold for joining me! Great working by the following:
