Barn at Gibbet Hill Wedding Photos

I am so excited for Jackie and James Barn at Gibbet Hill wedding photos. I have photographed many weddings at Gibbet, but this is the only one is the ruins at the top of the hill. They don’t do a lot of weddings up there, so I am so psyched to have been able to be there with Jackie and James.

Jackie and James live in Australia, so we did all of our planning was across continents and time zones. But this was not the first time that I met them. I photographed James’ brother Tom’s wedding back in 2013, so I knew this was going to be a great day.

We met up with Jackie and James as they were getting ready, and then ventured up the hill for a first look and family portraits. We had an amazing setting for both, as you will see below, and it made an even better backdrop for their ceremony. Tom, noted above, officiated the ceremony, which kept it light and personal. And James was the first groom this year — or that I can recall, really — to dance down the aisle after their “I dos.”

We lingered atop the hill until sunset, and then made our way back down to The Barn for the reception. Highlights include great toasts, a rocking band and a serenade by James and his fraternity brothers. We wrapped up with some night portraits, and then just about collapsed. The day was non-stop and high energy, and every bit of awesome that I expected. See for yourself…
