Fairmont Copley Plaza Wedding Photos – Nicole & Michael

Nicole and Michael’s Fairmont Copley Plaza wedding photos in Boston had everything I love about photographing weddings in the city. Great people, a stunning historic venue, and just the right amount of chaos that makes Boston feel alive.

As a Boston wedding photographer, it was my first time shooting at the Fairmont Copley Plaza, and it absolutely lived up to its reputation. The architecture, the history, the light—it’s one of those places that does a lot of the heavy lifting for you (but Nicole and Michael definitely stole the show).

I met up with them while they were getting ready at the hotel, then we stepped outside for their first look and portraits around Copley Square. If you’ve ever been in that area, you know it’s never quiet. Between the crowds, traffic, and curious onlookers, there’s always something happening—and honestly, that energy is part of what makes Boston wedding photography so fun. You lean into it, move fast, and grab those real, unscripted moments in between.

Back inside, they held a Ketubah signing before guests gathered in the beautiful Oval Room at the Fairmont Copley Plaza for the ceremony. A loud (and well-earned) “Mazel Tov” kicked off cocktail hour while the room was flipped for the reception.

And then things got going. Encore brought the kind of energy every couple hopes for—packed dance floor, nonstop movement, and just enough chaos in the best possible way. From the hora to the last song, it felt like no one wanted the night to end.
