Ellacoya State Park Wedding Photos – Kaitlynn & Reed
Kaitlynn and Reed’s Ellacoya State Park wedding photos took place this past October on Lake Winnipesaukee. They planned an intimate wedding with just there families on the sandy shores of the park. Intimate micro weddings are always a joy to photograph. I often feel more like a guest than a photographer, and the families often invite me into their day with open arm. Such was the case with Kaitlynn and Reed’s wedding. I can’t recall ever feeling so welcome, and even joined them for dinner when my “time was up.”
Their wedding took place on the beach overlooking the lake and White Mountains. Prior to the big day there had been some storms, so the beach was not in pristine shape. Kaitlynn’s father and brother had been out for beach cleanup, and even raked the entire area that the ceremony was to take place beforehand. It looked amazing! Following the ceremony, we stayed at the park for some portraits before heading up to the Elacoya Barn & Grille just a mile up the road. Everyone enjoyed drinks and appetizers — and lots and lots of laughter — before dinner. It was about that time that I was wrapping up for the evening. It was a great day, and one I am excited to share below…
