A Burlington, Vermont Engagement Session – Kristen & Nick:

On Monday I hopped in my car and headed approximately 200 miles north to meet up with Kristen and Nick in Burlington, Vermont for their engagement session. A super fun town during the summer months, Burlington can be brutally cold in the winter, with fierce lake-effect winds pownding the city. So, what was our objective you ask? Sunset images on Lake Champlain, of course. While it was quite cold (my car said 4 degree as I left the city), there blessedly was no wind. I met up with Kristen and Nick by City Hall, and we shot around Church Street before heading down to the Lake. Keeping moving was the name of the game just to stay warm. At one point after sunset and back on Church Street, Kristen said she couldn’t smile any more because her face was numb. That pretty much signaled the end of the session right there! For me, dressed as if I was going ice climbing, the session was loads of fun. I always enjoy something completely different, and standing next to one of the harbor cruise ships locked in black ice was pretty different. Here are a few of my favorite images from the shoot…
