Gunstock Mountain Resort Wedding – Kim & Andy
August 10, 2014
Last weekend I joined Kim and Andy at their Gunstock Mountain Resort wedding. I love weddings that are different. I mean, I go to a lot of awesome weddings, so it’s cool when you get to do something out of the ordinary, like riding a chairlift to the summit of a mountain for a wedding ceremony. Logistically it’s a challenge, but when all is said and done it’s really cool. And that’s what we did. Kim and Andy chose the top of Gunstock for their wedding because of it’s incredible views out over Lake Winnipesaukee. I met up with Kim at her parent’s home in Meredith, NH as she and her bridesmaids were getting ready. A short drive led us to the base lodge at Gunstock where the ladies waited for the groomsmen to escort them up the mountain. I rode the lift ahead of Kim and her father, and as we crested onto the summit we were greeted with a roar by all of their guests. After the ceremony we lingered on top for some pictures, and then rode back down to their reception at the base lodge. Their reception was filled with heartfelt toasts, lots of laughs, some crazy dancing, and nothing less than a great time. They were even blessed with a spectacular sunset. Have a look for yourself…
Thank you Kim and Andy for letting us document your special day. And a big thanks to David for joining me for the day, especially for covering all of the events up on the mountain until I arrived right before Kim and her father!
