An Alyson’s Orchard Wedding – Meghan & Keith
June 11, 2019
Summer weddings kicked off a few weeks ago for me with Meghan and Keith’s celebration at Alyson’s Orchard in Walpole, NH. For those unfamiliar with Alyson’s, the farm is a beautiful apple orchard atop a hillside nestled among ponds with views of the surrounding mountains. It’s an idyllic spot for your rustic farm wedding. And, on a beautiful day, such as the one that Meghan and Keith experienced, you cannot ask for a nicer place to be!
I met up with Meghan and and her bridesmaids in the bridal suite above the dining room where they were getting ready for day. The energy was high, and the excitement infectious. Through the window we saw Keith and his groomsmen walking down the dirt road, which could only mean it was just about time for their first look. At the appointed time, Meghan, escorted by her brother, walked out to meet Keith, who was positioned against a blue bird skyline. Following the first look, we took a little time for wedding party and family portraits before everyone began the wagon rides to Sama’s Pond where the ceremony was soon to begin.
Meghan arrived on the last wagon, and was met by her father who would walk her down the aisle where Keith was eagerly waiting. The ceremony was full of heartfelt readings by family and friends and the entire wedding party, as well as a ring warming ceremony. It culminated with the exchange of rings, a kiss and the breaking of a glass! Following the ceremony, as guests were escorted back to the dining room, Meghan, Keith and I hung back for some portraits among the apple trees and alongside the pond.
Back at the barn, the reception was about ready to kick off. Highlighted by toasts and special dances, the party really kicked off with the hora! Everyone got into celebrating mode, and the dance floor was packed and full of energy! We ended photography with a few night time portraits. The entire day was a blast, and I am excited to share a few of my favorite images from the day below…
Thank you Meghan and Keith for having us along for your bog day. You were so wonderful to work with! And a big thanks to Jessica Arnold for joining me for the day. Great work also by the following folks…
