A Wolfeboro Inn Wedding – Jaclyn & Mike

Jaclyn and Michael were married on a beautiful day in August at the Wolfeboro Inn. I first met Jaclyn and Michael at their engagement session on Castle Island in Boston. Based on how awesome that session was, I knew their wedding day was going to be amazing… and it was!

I met up first with Michael at the Inn where he was getting ready with his father and brothers. The time spent with a bride and groom getting ready is among my very favorite of the wedding day. The anticipation, the moments among family and friends. This was especially so hanging out with Michael and his siblings. Spending time with them reminded me so much of spending time with my own two brothers prior to our own weddings, and over time in general. Bonds that run way deeper than college parties, sporting events, etc.

I then headed over to the house where Jaclyn was getting ready with her mom and sisters. I spent a little time documenting details before Jaclyn was ready to put on her dress with the help of her mother and sisters. Just like hanging out with Michael, it was wonderful to spend this time with Jaclyn and her closest family.

I tell couples all the time that I believe weddings are first and foremost a celebration with family and friends. It’s not a photo shoot, though I also believe documenting the day is also very important to help craft the memories and story of the day for future generations. There are so many scheduled “events during the wedding day. So many “things” where immense effort and thought were placed. These are all super important, don’t get me wrong. It was amazing, however, to hang out with Jaclyn and Michael who also put so much emphasis on their family and friends. There was a beautiful ceremony along the shores of Lake Winnipesaukee. Family formals. Toasts. Special dances. All of the components of a traditional wedding were included in there day. What took center stage, though, was their family. And I am so grateful to have been along to witness it all, and document this special day for them! Below is a piece of their day…

Jaclyn and Michael, thank you for having me at your wedding! It was such an honor to document your day. Great work by the following…
