Caroline and Ilia’s Church Landing at Mill Falls wedding photos were the perfect reminder of why I love photographing weddings on Lake Winnipesaukee. Even though we didn’t meet before their wedding weekend, I knew right away it was going to be something special.

The celebration actually began the night before with their rehearsal on the lake. I don’t always get the opportunity to document rehearsal coverage, so this was a treat. The relaxed atmosphere, golden evening light, and time spent with close family and friends set the tone for an incredible wedding day.

When Saturday arrived, the weather could not have been better. Lakeside weddings can be tricky when it comes to lighting, but a soft, overcast sky gave us even, flattering light all day long. It was ideal for natural, vibrant wedding photos.

I started the day with Caroline and her bridesmaids as they got ready. Meanwhile, my second photographer spent time with Ilia and his groomsmen. We came together for a beautiful first look on the dock, one of the most scenic spots at Church Landing. Afterward, we captured family portraits in the garden, surrounded by lush greenery and views of the lake.

Their tented ceremony overlooked the water and felt both elegant and relaxed. Afterward, the reception kicked off with heartfelt toasts, followed by a packed dance floor that stayed lively all night.
