Camp Sandy Island Wedding Photos – Jocelyn & Michael

Jocelyn and Michael’s Camp Sandy Island wedding on Lake Winnipesaukee was everything a New Hampshire island wedding should be—relaxed, personal, and centered on time with the people who matter most.

It had been a couple of years since my last Camp Sandy Island wedding. This time, instead of rain, we had full sun and 90+ degree heat. Hot, yes—but absolutely worth it.

The celebration began the night before with a rehearsal BBQ on the island. That extra time made a difference. Everyone settled in, slowed down, and connected. We also fit in a quick engagement session, which made the wedding day feel even more natural and easy.

One of the best parts of a camp wedding in New Hampshire is the pace. Since everything happens in one place, there’s no rushing between locations. Instead, people relax, spend time together, and stay present throughout the day.

When we arrived, Jocelyn and her bridesmaids were unwinding in their cabin. Meanwhile, Michael and the guys gathered near the lodge, slowly getting ready in the heat.

The ceremony took place at the island’s open-air chapel, one of the most scenic settings for a Lake Winnipesaukee wedding ceremony. Right on the water, it offered a simple and beautiful backdrop as Jocelyn and Michael exchanged vows.

Afterward, guests gathered in the dining hall for dinner prepared by the island staff. The atmosphere stayed light, fun, and full of energy. Heartfelt toasts, plenty of laughs, and a few drinks carried the evening forward before the celebration moved lakeside near the lodge.

We wrapped up around 10:30, but the night was far from over. That’s the beauty of a private island wedding on Lake Winnipesaukee—no schedules, no travel, just time together.

Jocelyn and Michael created a day that felt true to them: relaxed, connected, and genuinely fun from start to finish.

Thank you Jocelyn and Michael for having me along to document your big day. And special thanks to my good friend David for joining me! Great work by the following:
