North Conway Adventure Elopement – Katie & Amy

On Wednesday I headed to the White Mountains for Katie and Amy’s North Conway adventure elopement with Katie and Amy. The temperatures were not just cold—they were really cold. Still, that didn’t stop this incredible couple from embracing every moment of their day.

Katie and Amy traveled up from the Southeast, likely expecting something closer to the 70-degree weather they had just days before. However, their White Mountains wedding had other plans. Even so, the lack of snow and the freezing temperatures didn’t slow them down one bit.

We met at Diana’s Baths, just outside of North Conway. From there, we made the short half-mile hike in. The trail was icy, which added a bit of adventure right from the start. Once we arrived at the waterfalls, we found the perfect secluded spot for their ceremony.

Their intimate LGBTQ+ wedding ceremony was officiated by my good friend Kim, a local justice of the peace. The setting, combined with their connection, made the moment incredibly meaningful. In fact, there were more than a few tears during the ceremony.

Afterward, we took our time heading back along the trail, stopping for portraits along the way. Then, we continued to the 1785 Inn for additional photos. The views there are always stunning, and we were lucky enough to catch a quick winter sunset over the mountains.

That said, the temperature dropped quickly. So, we didn’t stay outside for long. Instead, we wrapped up with a few final indoor portraits before calling it a day.

Overall, this White Mountains adventure elopement was the perfect mix of wild conditions, beautiful scenery, and genuine emotion. Katie and Amy fully embraced the experience, and it made their day truly unique.

Thank you both for trusting me to document your wedding. For now, here are a few of my favorite moments from this New Hampshire elopement.
