After photographing two Mount Washington Hotel weddings in one weekend, it’s safe to say it was an unforgettable few days in the White Mountains. While Saturday brought a perfect bluebird sky, Amanda and Max’s Sunday wedding introduced a very different set of circumstances. Nevertheless, their day became a powerful reminder of what truly matters.

In fact, their Mount Washington Hotel wedding took place during a high-level New England governors’ conference. As a result, security across the property was extremely tight. State troopers and federal agents were present throughout the resort, and access to many areas was limited. Because of this, the original plans for the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception all had to change as the day unfolded.

From a photography standpoint, this created a unique challenge. At times, every movement required coordination with security, and flexibility quickly became essential. However, despite the shifting logistics, Amanda and Max handled everything with ease. More importantly, they stayed fully present and never let the circumstances affect their experience.

Even though the timeline and locations changed, the energy of the day never faded. Instead, it became even more meaningful. Surrounded by family and friends, they laughed, celebrated, and embraced every moment.
