New York City Engagement Photos – Melissa & Eric
As I get ready for Melissa and Eric’s wedding this weekend, I wanted to share their New York City engagement photos. I had so much fun traveling to NYC for their session. Not only is New York an amazing backdrop, but Melissa and Eric were also a blast to photograph.
My day started early at South Station in Boston. From there, I boarded a train to New York City and headed for Grand Central Terminal. Luckily, Melissa and Eric met me at the station. Every time I visit New York on my own, I seem to get lost! Thanks to them, I started the day stress-free.
From there, they showed me around some of their favorite spots in the city. First, we visited the location where Eric proposed. Next, we stopped at their favorite pizza shop. These places may not be famous landmarks, but they mean a lot to Melissa and Eric. As a result, their engagement photos feel personal and authentic.
Although they are getting married in Boston, they wanted their engagement session to reflect their life in New York City. I love when couples choose locations that have real meaning. After all, engagement photos should tell your story. Beautiful scenery is important, but the memories behind a location matter even more.
That is one reason I enjoy destination engagement sessions so much. Some couples plan a mountain wedding and choose a city engagement session. Others do the opposite. Either way, an engagement session gives you the chance to celebrate a different part of your relationship.
Whether your favorite place is New York City, the White Mountains, the coast of Maine, or your own neighborhood, I encourage you to make your engagement session personal. Choose a location that reflects who you are as a couple. Not only will your photos look great, but they will also carry meaning for years to come.
I am so glad Melissa and Eric invited me to New York for their engagement photos. Their session combined meaningful locations, great memories, and plenty of laughter. I can’t wait to photograph their Boston wedding and share those images soon.
