Dockside Restaurant Wedding Photos

Check out Cindy and John’s Dockside Restaurant wedding photos! The Dockside Restaurant & Guest Quarters sits on a private spit of land overlooking York Harbor. The property is gorgeous with its vibrant gardens, long pier, and of course the stunning ocean view.

Cindy and John’s wedding took place in early October on a surprisingly warm day. I began coverage with Cindy as the ladies were doing hair and makeup. I then headed next door to one of the guest houses where I met up with John and the guys getting ready. Prepped and ready to go, Cindy and John had a first look ahead of their wedding ceremony on the front lawn of the Inn. Often couples seek out a private spot for their first look, but Cindy and John opted for a “public” first look with the kids and family around them.

Their wedding ceremony overlooked the ocean, also on the front lawn. Ceremonies here have become iconic on the Maine coast. A photograph from the balcony of the Inn is a must, and one of the signature images of a Dockside wedding! After the wedding, Cindy and John fired off the traditional canon. No matter how ready you think you are, when that canon goes off you’ll jump!

Wedding guests enjoyed the evening with cocktails and appetizers outside before heading to the Restaurant for the reception. It was so much fun joining and documenting the celebration inside. DJ Busch did a great job keeping the temp up, and all of Cindy and John’s family and friends in turn kept the energy high.
